The story :

According to the prophecy, Anna is destined to free Nephilims and rid world of demons.

The characters :

Anna is the daughter of Belial, duke of substance abuses and Mariantha, a guardian angel. She’s like her father and has a problem with substance abuse, but she can see and feel the emotions of other people. She’s nice, kind, sweet, beautiful and smart. She lives with her mother by adoption, Patti who knows the truth about Anna. She’s falling in love with Kaidan Rowe and her life will change. She’s the pure girl who must defeat all the Dukes.

Kaidan, son of Pharzuph, duke of Lust. He is Hot, sexy and think always about sex. He’s a drummer in a band and he takes advantage of his celebrity to quench the desires for sex of his fans. When he meets Anna, his world falls over, she attracts him but he cannot have her, she is virgin and still knows nothing from the world of which she comes. He will protect her from his father.

Jay is the best friend of Anna, he’s a DJ and know nothing about the Dukes, the Guardian Angel, the Demon. But he likes Anna and do all he can to help her with her relation with Kaidan. It’s because of him, if she meets Kaidan in the first place.

Patti is the woman who raised Anna, she is not her real mom but she loves her daughter, and she knows everything about Anna. Until the end, she will do everything to protect her. Her love is indefectible.

Belial, the Duke of substance abuses is a great man, he loved Mariantha and he loves Anna, the only thing he wants is to return in paradise. And the only way for that is in the hands of Anna. He protects her, advise her and train her.

Pharzuph, the Duke of lust wants to destroy the humans, he doesn’t like them and he doesn’t like the nephilims.

Kopano, alias Kope, is the son of Alother, Duke of Wrath. Kope is a good boy, he’s nice, kind and he likes Anna, he protects her, and Belial trusts him.

Marna and ginger are the twin’s daughters of Astaroth, Duke of adultery. They have some difficulties making their work, especially Marna. Destroy the couple is not a thing she like. Marna is soft, kind, pleasant and has an enormous heart compared with Ginger who is always angry and a little embittered.

Blake is the son of Melchom, duke of Envy. He’s the best friend of Kaidan and he likes Ginger. I love this guy, he has a lot of humor and he’s hot.

My review :

I’m a little sad because this is the end but I love this book and it’s a beautiful ending for a great trilogy. I never felt bored, there was always something interesting to keep my attention. I love how Wendy Higgins wrote this book. There is a lot of action, humor and love. And Wendy is able to write steamy scenes without being explicit. This book makes me smile, laugh, swoon (more than one time) and cry. Sometimes I was happy, sad, nervous and hopefull.

And I can’t talk about Sweet reckoning and don’t talk about Kaidan, he’s so swoonworthy, hot and in this one he’s so so so hot. I want to be Anna, just for Kaidan.

Anna grows up, she faces the fact that maybe she can lose everything but she have hope. She’s so strong, good and she must find a way to protect those she loves.

I can’t tell you so much thing because I don’t want to spoil but I like the relationship between ginger and Blake, Marna and Jay, Kope and Zahia and even if this is the end of the story, this was a great adventures with some very good and interesting characters.

Wendy I hope that one day the sweet trilogy will be traduce in French and I hope to read another of your book soon. And if you just want to write a certain scene of Sweet Reckoning in Kaidan POV, I will be very very happy and maybe the epilogue too.

For those who didn’t read this trilogy, I recommend it to you strongly and not only for Kaidan but because the story is brilliant, the characters are charming and the author is adorable.
