Synopsis :

The Secret’s out, and heads will roll.

Ever since her near-death experience at the hands of the villainous Dr. Kesteral, Secret McQueen hasn’t been the same. As in damaged almost beyond repair. But as usual, Secret has no time to lick her wounds.
Armed to the fangs, she and Desmond embark on a whirlwind quest for revenge that takes them to the sewers of Paris to put an end to Alexandre Peyton. Instead, it’s almost the end of them, and before she can stop him, Peyton rips the veil off her deepest secret.
The devil’s not through muddling up the details, either. An eye-opening confab with Sig in the Big Apple leaves her wondering if she’s ever been in control of her own life at all. Plus, a cryptic postcard sends her racing back to her Manitoba hometown, fearing for her grandmere.

My review :

In this book we’ll find Secret and Desmond in Paris, the city of love. Secret is damaged since her adventure with The Doctor, Desmond and Holden don’t push her for the choice.

Secret is in Paris because she wants to find Alexandre Peyton and most of all she wants to kill him. She thinks that after the death of Peyton, she will be better, but for Secret one problem solved another one arrive.

There are a lot of people in this book, Desmond, Holden, Sig, Lucas, Dominic, Secret’s grandmother, father, mother and uncle.

Desmond is so kind, protective, charming and sexy.

Holden is the same as always, a little arrogant, sexy and he tries to explain to Secret, that she has to speak and not close to herself.

Sig tries to protect Secret but the fact that vampires discovered her secret does not really help.

Lucas, I liked him but now I hate him, we know that he likes Secret but he went so far that I cannot go back and like him anymore.

Dominic is very protective to Desmond and even if he appreciates Secret we know that sometimes he wants to tell her : “stop dragging my brother in your problems “.

Her grandmother is in danger and Secret finally should make a choice between Holden and Desmond.

This book is so intense, like all the other books. Secret have some problem, the action is here since the first chapter. Sometimes I wanna say STOP, because the universe is against her.

Sierra Dean is a very talented author and she knows how to make me feels all the feelings of Secret.

Secret is as always, smart, kickass but also less stronger after her previous adventure.

I like the way Sierra Dean describe the affection between Secret and Holden and between Secret and Desmond.

Secret is not the only one who is damaged. Holden has been in the hand of the Doctor and he feels a little guilty for what happens to Secret.

This book is for me the best of all the Secret McQueen and I can’t wait for the next and last book because the end is just so torturing.

If you don’t know Secret McQueen it’s so bad for you. this series is awesome.
