Synospis :
Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…
Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.
Something worse than the Arum has come to town…
The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there’s this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that’s possible. Against all common sense, I’m falling for Daemon. Hard.
But then everything changes…
I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…
My review :
Katy confides of new powers which she’s going to learn to master them. She became a kickass heroine and she transforms right in front of our eyes. She’s always sweet, fierce and protective but at several moments I wanted to strike her. Her reactions were so immature, stubborn, annoying and dangerous at some point. After Katy and Daemon discovers they are linked with each other, Daemon tells Katy to keep that for her. These secrets urge Katy to go away from Dee.
Daemon Black is back, sexier than ever, delectable, swoon worthy and so sexy. He is loving tender, caring, fiercely protective to his family and friends. And even more to his Kitten. Daemon doesn’t trust anyone and that’s great in this book.
In this book, the relation between Katy and Daemon grows up and intensified. The arrival of a new boy won’t help. There is a lot of sexual tension between Katy and Daemon and dialogues always so funny and sarcastic. Their relation is bumpy and filled with tears and heart-breaks. They still have good moments and romantic ones like the library, the Christmas tree and some bedrooms.
Dee is cute and kind, she’s in love and she suffers because Katy goes away from her. Ash is still Ash like Andrew.
I do not speak to you of Blake, I prefer that you discover him by yourself.
Jennifer L Armentrout has still made a success of a masterstroke with Onyx, it is just exciting, once begun we are not able to stop any more.
My review is rather short, not because I did not like Onyx, quite the opposite, but rather because I prefer not to say too much at the risk of tell spoiler.
