About I WANT IT THAT WAY:
Nadia Conrad has big dreams, and she’s determined to make them come true—for her parents’ sake as well as her own. But between maintaining her college scholarship and working at the local day care to support herself, she barely has time to think, let alone date. Then she moves into a new apartment and meets the taciturn yet irresistible guy in 1B….
Daniel Tyler has grown up too fast. Becoming a single dad at twenty turned his life upside down—and brought him heartache he can’t risk again. Now, as he raises his four-year-old son while balancing a full-time construction management job and night classes, a social life is out of the question. The last thing he wants is for four noisy students to move into the apartment upstairs. But one night, Nadia’s and Ty’s paths cross, and soon they can’t stay away from each other.
The timing is all wrong—but love happens when it happens. And you can’t know what you truly need until you stand to lose it.
“A tender, sweet, and sexy story about how life—and falling in love—can never be planned.”
—Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Wait for You
My review :
This book is just so great, I love Nadia and all her reactions, she’s so sweet, amazing, kind and strong. She wants to become a teacher, particularly with children affected by autism. She has a part-time job where she helps a teacher in a day care center. She works with four years old children. She just moves into a new apartment with her best friend Lauren and two males friends Max and Angus. She meets her downstairs neighbor the day of the moving in and in spite of the fact that he is sexy, he’s also grumpy.
Ty is a father of a four-year-old child and when he sees Nadia moving he cannot refrain from finding her sexy but he is very well to hold on and never to obtain what he wants. He’s just charming, shy, protective, lonely, worker and hot as hell. I love this man, he doesn’t hesitate to make his son pass before any, he had no easy experience with the mother of Sam but he deserves a chance to know love.
Sam is Ty’s son, he’s four years old and he is so sweet. The fact that it never knew his mother is a very blatant lack. Sam is a kind boy, I like him but it is necessary to say that it is hard not to love a little boy so adorable.
Lauren is Nadia’s best friend, she likes party, men but she has a secret. Max is fun, I like him a lot and the same is for Angus, I like this man, ok he’s gay but I want a friend like him, his so sweet and he’s a great cook.
The story is so great, Ann Aguirre describes very well the feelings that experiences the various protagonists. The relation between Nadia and Ty is very well built, it does not go too fast in spite of their mutual desires. I liked the fact whether it’s Ty who holds on for Sam’s well and especially that Nadia doesn’t force him. I loved the friendship Nadia had with her roommates. Nadia and ty are honest with each other and say whatever came to their minds. The chemistry between the two is absolutely amazing, they are made for each other’s.
This book is filled with sexual tensions and it is very testing. And during at least 30 minutes I did not stop crying. It was very well to feel so many feelings and to be transported in this novel.
Ann Aguirre is a great author, I have read Razorland and love it and now I know that she can write all the books she wants, I shall read them undoubtedly and with pleasure.
The story is told only by Nadia and the second book will be Lauren’s story and the third on Max. I can’t wait to read them. The cover is beautiful and I like the fact that I want it that way is a Backstreet Boys song. And the two others books are too.
This book is a just a big crush for me, I love it so much and I can only encourage Ann Aguirre to write more and more.
I can’t wait for the next one.
Thanks to Ann Aguirre, InkSlinger and Harlequin for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
