Synopsis :
Sometimes danger is hard to see… until it’s too late.
Britt Pfeiffer has trained to backpack the Teton Range, but she isn’t prepared when her ex-boyfriend, who still haunts her every thought, wants to join her. Before Britt can explore her feelings for Calvin, an unexpected blizzard forces her to seek shelter in a remote cabin, accepting the hospitality of its two very handsome occupants—but these men are fugitives, and they take her hostage.
In exchange for her life, Britt agrees to guide the men off the mountain. As they set off, Britt knows she must stay alive long enough for Calvin to find her. The task is made even more complicated when Britt finds chilling evidence of a series of murders that have taken place there… and in uncovering this, she may become the killer’s next target.
But nothing is as it seems in the mountains, and everyone is keeping secrets, including Mason, one of her kidnappers. His kindness is confusing Britt. Is he an enemy? Or an ally?
Review :
Britt and Korbie are best friend and for spring break they goes backpacking the Teton Range. Unfortunately Korbie’s father asks Calvin, her brother, to go with them and watch them.
My review will be short, it’s not because I doesn’t like the book but because I love the book and you must discover the story by yourself.
I like the characters and the way they interact together. The story is well written and I like the fact that all people have bad thoughts in them because it’s real life. Sometimes when you are sad or angry you said things you may regret but in the end you doesn’t really believe in what you said.
Becca Fitzpatrick is a talented author, after Hush, Hush, she write something totally different but really good. She can twist your mind, sometimes I was “OMG he can’t be that bad” and right after telling me “He’s so kind”. My heart jump many times and the conclusion is awesome.
It’s really a good book, not a happy book but if you love Hush, Hush, Patch and Becca style you definitely love Black Ice.
