Synopsis
Everyone else in Dixie Carmichael’s life has made falling in love look easy, and now she is ready for her own chance at some of that happily ever after. Which means she’s done pining for the moody, silent former soldier who works with her at the bar that’s become her home away from home. Nope. No more chasing the hot as heck thundercloud of a man and no more waiting for Mr. Right to find her; she’s going hunting for him…even if she knows her heart is stuck on its stupid infatuation with Dash Churchill.
Denver has always been just a pit stop for Church on his way back to rural Mississippi. It was supposed to be simple, uneventful, but nothing could have prepared him for the bubbly, bouncy redhead with doe eyes and endless curves. Now he knows it’s time to get out of Denver, fast. For a man used to living in the shadows, the idea of spending his days in the sun is nothing short of terrifying.
When Dixie and Church find themselves caught up in a homecoming overshadowed with lies and danger, Dixie realizes that while falling in love is easy, loving takes a whole lot more work…especially when Mr. Right thinks he’s all wrong for you.

Review
The only thing that Dixie wants is to find the man of her life, she wants a true love like her parents. Sadly for her, it seems like the One is Church, and he isn’t ready for love. Dixie is a light in darkness, she is always sweet, kind, generous, she is a caretaker, a helper, and she took care of the people she loves. I like her, she is always happy no matter what happen in her life, that’s very good.
Church has some issue with himself and with his family, nothing bad but he doesn’t see them in 10 years and when his father ask him to go home, he can’t refuse but he takes Dixie with him, as joy support and happiness. Church is a bug guy, army man and he likes Dixie, he likes her joy and “life”, he knows she won’t tell him no. But the only thing he wants is to take care of her as a friend, at least that’s what he tells himself. He is adorable and Dixie exuberance is perfect for him even if it makes him uncomfortable sometimes.
I’m never disappointed with Jay’s books, they are perfect romance and I always fall in love with the characters. They are complex and their life wasn’t easy but that’s what makes them real.
Dixie and Church are so sweet together, their relation grows slowly but it’s intense and the sexual tension is hot. I like the way they always want to protect the other, even if Church is a big man, Dixie will always try to take care of him, no matter what happens. The same can be told for Church, he doesn’t want darkness to taint Dixie.
Another thing I like in this book is Wheeler, I’m so impatient to read his story with Poppy. What happens to him must be rude and not easy to understand for him but he seems like a good guy and a very interesting character.
I can say that I’m a Jay Crownover’s addict, even if Riveted doesn’t take place in Denver, we are seeing Asa, Royal and Rome a little or at least we heard about them. I like that the Marked Men aren’t forgotten in the Saints of Denver. I thing we will see Salem and Rowdy in the next installment too.
Quick word: A Jay Crownover’s romance with a sexy guy and a girl full of life and happiness.
