The first time I saw Will Munroe I had him pegged as a typical LA douchebag—a little too handsome, a little too rich, a little too into his probiotic kale smoothies. The next time I ran into him—at his daughter’s parent/teacher conference (me: teacher, he: parent)—I noticed his steel grey eyes, his hard chest under a crisp white button down, and his suggestively bare ring finger. I was hooked.
If life really imitated art, he’d have swept me off my feet and taken me right there on the principal’s desk. Instead, we are stuck in our assigned roles. He’s the workaholic single dad of a precocious girl child, and I’m her fiery substitute teacher. Never the two shall meet. Enter one zany, yurt-dwelling ex-wife, a stock market that never sleeps, and some over-the-top, A-list fundraisers, and I’ve got plenty of drama ahead. Better to keep my hands to myself.
But when Will asks me out for a pancake breakfast, how can I resist? My heart (and my stomach) say yes, but am I willing to risk my job for a short stack and a romp in the hay? A slow, sensual, mind-blowing romp in the hay…
But where there’s a Will…

This book is so fun, I had a lot of pleasure to read it, and it’s nice to read a story with normal people in a world where there are only rich and healthy people.
Chelle is adorable, she is a theater teacher, she loves kids, she loves her parents even if they are weird. She is wonderful, true to herself, she eats normally in a world where people are doing detox. I love her talk to herself, it’s sweet and fun.
Will is gorgeous and smart, he loves his daughter more than anything, he will do everything for her and for her happiness. He’s willing to put his daughter needs above his frustrations against his ex-wife. And said ex-wife is a hard person, who eat healthy, do yoga and have a totally different way of life, she lives in a yurt for Christ sake.
I think Amelia is a beautiful little girl, she is very smart for her age and I love her. She has a very good instinct and she loves both her parents.
Extra Credit is a beautiful story, refreshing with a lot of humor and I love that. The romance is a slow built but the attraction is extremely hot. This book talk about a lot of subject, love, education, family, life in general and it’s very interesting.
It’s the first book of Poppy Dunne I read but I like her style and her humor too. The characters are well developed and you automatically fall in love with them.
Quick word: A refreshing romance to read with Spring coming.
