dont look back

Synopsis :

Samantha is a stranger in her own life. Until the night she disappeared with her best friend, Cassie, everyone said Sam had it all-popularity, wealth, and a dream boyfriend.
Sam has resurfaced, but she has no recollection of who she was or what happened to her that night. As she tries to piece together her life from before, she realizes it’s one she no longer wants any part of. The old Sam took “mean girl” to a whole new level, and it’s clear she and Cassie were more like best enemies. Sam is pretty sure that losing her memories is like winning the lottery. She’s getting a second chance at being a better daughter, sister, and friend, and she’s falling hard for Carson Ortiz, a boy who has always looked out for her-even if the old Sam treated him like trash.
But Cassie is still missing, and the facts about what happened to her that night isn’t just buried deep inside of Sam’s memory-someone else knows, someone who wants to make sure Sam stays quiet. All Sam wants is the truth, and if she can unlock her clouded memories of that fateful night, she can finally move on. But what if not remembering is the only thing keeping Sam alive?

The story :

It’s a thriller about two girls who disappears one night, Samantha and Cassie. The first one resurface with no memories of who she is or what happened and the second is missing. Samantha will have to find her memories to find her friend.

The characters ;

Samantha is strong, even with her loss memories she try to remember what happened and when she discovers that she isn’t a good girl but rather a bitch, she tries to become better. I like Samantha, I can’t imagine what it’s like to lose your memories, but this girl makes it look like a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. She’s lost and desperate to find her memories.

Scott is Samantha’s brother, he’s kind and I like the bond between the two of us. Their relation is strong and that’s a good thing for Sammy. His girlfriend, Julie was a friend of Samantha and she’s important too.

Carson is The man of the book, he doesn’t like the old Samantha and he have some reasons, but after the accident their relation deepened. I love Carson, he is the kind of guy I like, protective, strong and so nice.

Del is Samantha’s boyfriend but like all the other people she doesn’t remember him. I don’t like Del because is arrogant and selfish.

My review :

I love this book, I would never have thought of being pulled in the story and I don’t want to stop before knowing the end. I did see some details of what happened but I have no clue for the real suspect. I really enjoy the suspense, the mystery is captivating, the twist are calculating, the characters are amazing, the romance is absolutely lovely and I was totally involved in this book until the end.

I don’t read many thrillers but this one is great and I think Jennifer L Armentrout is good in this genre. We have the impression that all the stories which take out of her imagination are real and she tells them so well. It’s one of the best books I have read in 2014. So get your hands on it.
