Synopsis :

Will their past determine their future?

Saint Ford has worked hard to achieve her childhood dream of becoming of nurse. Focused on her work and devoted to her patients, there’s no room for love. She doesn’t need a guy making waves in her calm, serene life—especially when he’s the unforgettable hottie who nearly destroyed her in high school. Dark, brooding Nash Donovan might not remember her or the terrible pain he caused. But he turned her world upside down… and now he’s trying to do it again.
Saint has no idea that Nash isn’t the cocky player he once was. Uncovering a devastating family secret has rocked his world, and now he’s struggling to figure out his future. He can’t be distracted by the pretty nurse he seems to meet everywhere. Still, he can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them —or how she seems so desperate to get away from him. But the funny, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous Saint is far too amazing to give up on—especially since she’s the only thing in his life that seems to make sense.
When Nash discovers the truth about their past, he realizes he may have lost her heart before he could even fight for it. Now, Saint has to decide: is Nash worth risking herself for all over again?

The story :

Nash Donovan is one of The Marked guy, his Oncle Phil is dying and there is this nurse, Saint, from his childhood, she doesn’t like him but he doesn’t know why and she’s beautiful.

Saint Ford had a crush on Nash since college but she also hates him since college, when she see him at the hospital all the past resurfaced.

The characters :

Nash Donovan is a nice guy, his mother chooses his stepfather rather than him and he had to go to live with his Uncle Phil. He’s a full body tattoed and pierced guy with muscles and purple eyes. As his friends often say, he’s the nicest guy of the team and the fact is confirmed with his story. He knows what he wants, accepts his feelings for Saint, for him she’s The One and he doesn’t fight his feelings. Nash is self confident, so he has difficulties understanding Saint’s hesitations.

Saint is a nurse and when she was young, she was shunned by her classmates, she was also in love with Nash and he broke her heart without knowing it. She lost weight but kept some psychologic scars from High School. She doesn’t trust herself or her body. She’s going to put through hell Nash by never knowing for what she wishes, one day she’s hot and the next she’s cold. She have a big heart and that’s a reason who push Nash in her arms.

Phil is the uncle of Nash, he’s dying, he’s in terminal phase of cancer. The secret is Phil is not really Nash’s uncle but his dad. At the beginning Nash is sad with the fact that Phil has hide the truth and afterward he will do everything to discover why Phil didn’t telling him earlier that he was his son and not his nephew.

Rule and Shaw are present and their relationship reaches a new important step. The same could be told about Cora and Rome.

We discover Royal and Salem, the last will be in Rowdy and I can’t wait to know more about her.

My review :

I love Nash, the character, he’s is a kind person and I don’t like the way Saint treats him.

He deals with Phil’s illness and he don’t have a nice mother but he’s a nice guy.

I understand that she has issues but what she is doing to Nash is so selfish that I don’t understand how she can hate him. Saint is the one who must change and she doing it well.

I was so irritated with Saint and her insecurities, I felt bad for her and I know she went through a lot but I had hard time sympathizing with her.

I think a lot of person can understand Saint and really I can, the high school was not an easy period for me but even if that leaves tracks, I do not think of having the same reactions as Saint. Nash tries to prove her by all means that he likes her and she doesn’t want to see things like that.

I like the dual pov and even if Saint irritating me I love the interaction between her and Nash or between her and Royal especially at the end when she’s more confident.

I love the fact that the others marked men appears in the next book because I love them.

This book is writing well as all the others books, it’s amazing to see how Jay crownover succeeds in showing the emotion. And with this book I can tell that words have power, even more power than act.

Jay Crownover once again sent to me in her world and it’s with impatience that I wait for Rowdy and Salem.

By the way, Jay where are you find your first names ?

Rule, Rome, Shaw, Jet, Ayden, Nash, Cora, saint, Royal, Rowdy, Salem, Poppy, Sunny, Faith….
