In the mysterious world of magic, where nothing is what it seems, only blood never lies. It binds generations, endowing their descendants with powers and knowledge. Sometimes it heals, and sometimes, it becomes a curse that turns you into someone you never wanted to be…
Eileen and her friends did their best to destroy the Dragons brotherhood, one of the most dangerous organizations that ever existed. Could they have imagined how bad the consequences of their actions would be? Now, they are forced to watch one of their friends die. If only Evan were not bound to Eileen and Amanda, who will have to go through the hell of his death with him…
But what if death could be just an illusion? An illusion where every step you take brings you closer to the new life where nothing will ever be the same… Will the powers of love and magic be enough to survive?.. Or will destroying the world of supernatural become the only way to keep their hearts beating?..
My review :
Evan is dying and Eileen had to go through it with him because of their bond. Eileen must find Elisabeth because she’s the only woman who can help her understand the situation with Evan.
Eileen hasn’t change, She always thinks that it belongs to her alone to solve the problems. I think that she’s a little more mature, specially her reactions to Christian.
In this book there less action and more research, Eileen find some secrets about Evan’s and Will’s family which can help them to understand the situation.
I like Love Lines and I like Diana Nixon’s books, she’s an amazing author and her imagination has no limit.
The love lines series begin with Eileen and Christian and when I have read the first book my thought was They are a beautiful couple and at the end of the book for me the most important characters was Eileen and Christian even if Evan have a big place in my heart.
But with the others books all changes, Evan became more important with Eileen, and in “the curse of blood” is the most important character. I like what Diana made with her characters and mainly with Evan.
I like Eileen and Christian as a couple but I think that Evan is more “a hero” than Christian.
The book is told with 4 different POV, Eileen, Christian, Evan and Amanda, and it’s a good thing to see all the thought of these people. They are so different and I like that, the four of them are attached together by some powerful bonds and that will help them in the near future.
I can say that this book will transport you in the universe of Love Lines and I like this series so much that I could speak about it all night long.
Just one more word, thanks Diana for giving me an ARC and you already know that I cried on this book and that the end (as usual) gives me urge to read the suite, so go back to work. I want another book of you. Please…
I can tell you much more about the story because I want you to read the book and I might be too happy and reveal some thing. So if you want to know more, read The curse of blood and the cover is gorgeous and it’s made by J.M Rising Horses Creations.
