Synopsis

Review

In this second book, Mia is in danger; her mother and her aunt want to send her to hide alone and far away from home. Mia and Dino don’t agree and takes refuge on the Glass Castle. Mia discovers that she has the Arc, she’s invincible but a lot of people want her power and for that they must kill her. Will she be safe at with Colt, Dino, Wendolyn and some others or not.

The book continue where the first one stop, only little months after. Mia is happy to go to the Glass Castle, she will see Colt again and she trusts him for her safety. In this book Mia will have to choose to whom to trust and sometimes I find that she give her trust too easily.

Uprising complete very well the first book, Dino is trouble by what happened with Tol and it’s hard for him to forgive himself. He like her sister and do everything to protect her. Fortunately for him, Blue is here to help him and direct him in the good path.

Wendoly is the character I miss the most but I understand the reason. I like this woman, she’s strong, brave and kind, she’ll what it takes to protect her family and the Glass castle’s Arcana and Hunter are her family.

Mia has grown up, she love Colt and she can’t wait to see him but she’s still learning how to control her power. Like I have already said, I think she gives her trust too easily but Colt and Dino are here for her.

Colt is perturbed by the death of Lotan, he missed his brother and he feels guilty of his death. His feelings for Mia here always here but he’s trying to forget them. He will have to fight against an unknow person to protect Mia and save her.

The characters are interesting and emotionally complex, like all the teenagers I know. They are always here for each other’s and I find this great.

I really enjoyed reading this book and I am looking forward to reading more about Colt, Mia, Siren, Dino, Blue and Kizzy.
