Synopsis (from goodreads)

I, Skye Briar Blake, am simply a girl trying to make her way in the world.Corny enough for ya? Well, it’s true though.

I work part time at a diner where most of the patrons are drunken frat boys with an unending appetite for chili cheese fries and the gift of quoting the worst pickup lines known to man and beast. But, at night I make my way to part time job numero dos at Pinkies. Yep, you guessed it…a strip club—rather a gentleman’s club featuring exotic dancers. Better? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

Serving drinks and stocking baskets of stale pretzels was never my life goal or anything, but it pays better than the diner, and I don’t come home reeking like deep-fried crap.

I’ve actually found a family at Pinkies and that’s something I’m severely lacking.

For the most part, I can’t complain…that is I couldn’t until Jaden came into my life, insulted me about my weight, and then, screwed me until I couldn’t see straight. Jerk. Makes no sense, right? Try being me.

As if on cue, enter Rhett, panty-melting Rhett, and he likes me, no, like really likes me.

With two men knocking on my door *heh-hum* so to speak, I’m more confused than I’ve ever been and quite honestly, I just don’t know what to believe anymore.

This is my story. The good, the bad, and the downright wrong—it’s all me and I’ll have to live with the repercussions of my decisions and hope, in the end, I don’t HATE myself.

HATE Sex will tick you the f*ck off. Homicidal thoughts may cross your mind revolving around a certain arrogant s.o.b. And, by the middle of the book? You’ll want to dish out a bitchslap of epic proportions to my heroine. GOOD! Hand me a lollipop because all that means is that I succeeded in sucking you into this twisted vortex of sex, hate and possibly love whether you wanted to be sucked or not.

Skye Briar isn’t the typical sexy woman and she knows it, perfect men aren’t attracted by her usually. She’s working in a diner and in a strip club; the first man who wants her is Jaden, the owner of the gym opposite to the diner. Jaden wants her, he’s obsessed by her and their relation is hot and tense, Skye doesn’t like Jaden at all but she’s attracted by him. She loves sex and Jaden too so they are on the same page about this subject. The second man is Rhett; he’s nice and wants to go slowly with Skye. Their relation is good and I like him a lot more than Jaden.

Skye likes thinking that her physical appearance is not a problem and that she’s confident in herself. Unfortunately, this is not the case but she won’t discover that too fast. I can’t tell too much about the story but for me it didn’t have a love triangle; it’s just one man for sex and one man for more, until the bomb explode in her life.

I didn’t understand all her choices, yes she’s attracted sexually by Jaden, but the man she could love is Rhett. She isn’t strong, she can’t say no to Jaden even if she try and I don’t like that.

I liked the fact that, for once, the woman is fat and the men are attracted all the same by her. I also liked Rhett; he’s really a good guy for Skye and for his brother too. Their relation grows slowly and sex is not his priority, that’s the problem for Skye because she’s thinking that he didn’t like her.

It’s my first book of Billy Storm, the style is nice and the story is good, I just didn’t like some of Skye’s reactions and Jaden’s arrogance.
