Synopsis (from goodreads)

What do you do when Mr. Right seems oh-so-wrong?

Holly Sinclair is ready to have it all. She’s even found her Mr. Right–a steady, reliable guy who just needs a little convincing. Now all the former wild child has to do is free herself of her very inconvenient attraction to Jack Everett. Not only does the notorious playboy and tabloid king seduce her at her sister’s wedding, he follows her to Paris! Suddenly, Holly is alone with Jack in the most romantic city in the world–and his family is leaping to the wrong conclusions…

The world’s most infamous bachelor has finally met his match. If Jack was the type to settle down, Holly would be the woman of his dreams. There’s just one hitch: Holly actually believes she wants to marry Mr. Oh-So-Boring. Intent on proving that she deserves someone better, Jack finds himself playing the role of the perfect boyfriend…a little too well. If he’s not careful, he might just lose this game–and his heart.

Review

I haven’t read the first book in the series with Ivy and Daniel but it’s not a problem for this book. You won’t be lost.

Holly is Ivy’s sister, she loves travelling around the world and partying. Since an unfortunate event one year ago, she decides to settle with a good man and she now wants a family. The good man is Benjamin, her best friend, she thinks she loves him and he will be perfect for her, always predictable. Sadly for her, her heart is not agree, she’s not in love with Benjamin but with Jack, Daniel and Ivy’s best friend. Holly decides to chase Benjamin is Paris, and she will met Jack again.

Jack is a very successful worker, his company is doing well and since Daniel and Ivy’s wedding, he thinks a lot about the beautiful Holly with who he shared a passionate kiss. When he arrives in Paris to find her, he tries everything to make her forget about her project to return with Benjamin.

Holly is full of life, she had always do what she wanted without commitment and she likes that. Except now, she wants a husband and a baby, she thinks that Benjamin is the perfect boy and it unnerves me a lot, because you don’t choose the father of your baby because he seems perfect. Love is everything; it’s awful to think that you can think to raise a baby with a father you don’t love. It’s not fine for me and I have a hard time to identify myself in Holly. She’s selfish, she wants a baby and even if Benjamin doesn’t love her she’s ready to do everything.

Jack is great, he has some issues with his brother and with trust and commitment. He’s a man and he wants Holly but he knows he can’t offer her a family life, at least that’s what he thinks. Men and their fear of commitment and love, they are always so stubborn. Jack and Holly are in love, they just don’t admit it and I wanted to make them understand that they are made for each other’s. They are the same, fear of engagement, love for travelling, family who takes them for children. They understand each other and they are helping each other, it’s love at first sight and they are too stubborn to tell each other what they are feeling.

I like Jack and I also like Holly when she’s with Jack and stop thinking about Benjamin. They have some great moment together and I like this book, I like the way Holly stood up for Jack in front of his brother. I like the way Jack try to explain Holly that Benjamin is an idiot if he’s not want to be with her.

This book is romantic and even if sometimes I wanted to hit Holly and Jack, I enjoyed reading this story.

Maggie Dallen’s style is good, the romance is very present and it’s great to read a story who takes place in Paris. Yes my city is the most beautiful city in the world J

Quick Word: A charming romance who takes place in a romantic city.
