Synopsis (from goodreads)

What happens when your life goes to crap the week of Christmas? You invite a hot Marine you met in an airport bar to come home with you for the holidays, to distract your crazy family from the truth.

With a handsy aunt, a meddling mother and a father concerned for the wellbeing of his daughter’s eggnog, there’s no chance Sam and Noel will have time to fall in love…or will they?

**The Stocking Was Hung is a standalone, Christmas story that will make you laugh, make you HOT and maybe even make you say, “Awwwww” a few times.

Noel has just lost her job; quit her boyfriend and their apartment, now she must confront her family for Christmas holiday.  She is going to have to face her family which knows nothing and always thinks that she’s coming with her boyfriend Logan. While she waits her plane, which was delayed, in the bar of the airport by being bored on its fate, she meets Sam. Sam is a Marine who’s coming home for Christmas. He has no family so Noel invited him in her family for Christmas if he accepts to play the role of Logan, her ex-boyfriend.

It’s the first book of Tara Sivec I’ve read and it was so good, there is some mistakes mostly with Sam/Logan name but all in all it was a very great book. The Stocking was hung makes me laugh like no other books; it was very refreshing and I like that. The plot is a classic one for romance so no surprise in the romance part but the characters are very surprising and entertaining.

Noel is a good girl, she loves her family but her mother would love to see her married with a good husband, children and a good job. I like Noel, she’s fun and even if she doesn’t know how to defend herself, it’s nice to see her struggle with her feelings.

Sam is very hot marine, he’s kind, sweet and I like the tenderness when he looks at Noel. I love his reactions with Noel’s crazy family, because yes they are craze, there is no doubt.

The others characters are so fun and crazy, I let you discover them by yourself because they deserve the best.

I read this book in one day and now I’m impatient to read the next one because I need to know what will happen to Noel and Sam, I think Noel’s family will be here to have crazier events.

I recommend this book if you need romance with lot of fun, if you’re sad and want to laugh until you cried and if you want to enjoy a moment of reading.

Quick word: If you want to laugh, go read this book absolutely.
