Synopsis (from goodreads)

Stella “Stormy” Knight is an expert at hiding—her feelings, her past, and her identity. Sometimes all that hiding takes its toll, and she needs to come out from under that heavy suit of armor and cut loose—but it never takes her long to put it right back on and disappear without a trace.

Private Investigator Logan Wild is relentless in his pursuit to discover the truth for his clients. He works hard, plays even harder, and always walks away unscathed and untethered. Until he meets mysterious and sexy-as-hell Stormy, who leaves him craving more than a one-night stand.

Passion ignites, secrets are shared, and their deep connection is impossible to ignore. But in order to have a future, Logan must uncover Stormy’s dark past—and when he does, he’ll hold her fate in his hands.

Review

Stella Krane is terrified, She has flees her home town and her mother to protect herself from her ex-boyfriend who wants to kill her. She’s working in a bar in New York when she’s meeting Logan Wild, a private detective and ex-Navy Seal. They are attracted to each other, Logan because he wants to protect her and Stella because she needs his protection and feel safe with someone for the first time.

Stella is very brave, she’s lost everything because of Kutcher and to protect her mother she flees in NY. She don’t use credit card or security card, has no bank account and want to be paid in cash. Her boss is Dylan Bad, he’s friend with Logan and she trust him enough to tell him the truth.

Logan is so hot, he’s sexy when he is on duty to protect Stella. He’s trying to help her but in the beginning she doesn’t trust him at all, they have tons of sexual thoughts and the sexual tension is tangible.

I like them as a couple, they are beautiful together and with Logan, Stella found some strength in her to be the real her.  I like all the moments in this book, I just find that Stella is very naïve about one thing, her phone. I won’t tell you more and you will understand when you read the book.

The thing I like more in this book is that even if the past of the characters are bad and sad, in the end there is no bad things which happen. And that is very refreshing in this kind of story.

It’s my first Melissa Foster book and she write well, the characters are well described and the sexual scenes are very hot and intense. It’s not just Stella who is wet. There is one book for each brother, so this will be four books, the next one is on Heath and I think I will read it.

I recommend this book if you love romance with passion, danger and sexual tension.
