Synopsis (From Goodreads)

He was broken.

Full of hate and sorrow.

Asher Beaumont never asked for much in life. All he wanted was to play his guitar, write music, and be recognized and loved by his father. Unfortunately, that last desire was never realized. The bastard died when Asher was just a kid. Then thirteen years later, his mother dies of a brain tumor, shattering him even more and leaving him hating everyone around him, except for his two best friends, Melody Stevens and her brother, Teddy.

Melody Stevens has crushed on her best friend, Asher Beaumont her entire life. But it’s always been a secret passion. Never something she’d act upon. But when she tells Asher she’s prepared—and determined—to lose her virginity to a guy he considers to be nothing more than a cad who sleeps with anything that wears a skirt, her best friend offers her a proposition she can’t really refuse.

When Asher stumbles across a letter left by his mother before her death, begging him to seek out his half-brothers, he and Melody begin a journey of discovery. Their travels lead them to the two brothers he has spent his life despising because they had the life he always wanted. While on their trip, they discover a miracle they never, ever considered.

Asher Beaumont is lost, her mother just died and his father left them when he was a kid. The only people in his life are Melody and her brother Teddy. Life is not easy and when bad things happen, he decides to follow his mother advice. He’s asking Melody to come with him meet his brothers.

First I haven’t read the two others books but now I want to read them because Susan Griscom has a real talent for writing a story with great characters female and male.

The book is told in Melody and Asher POV, I like that because the characters are so different and close that we live their life with them.

Asher Beaumont is a good guy, he’s friend with Melody and Teddy since childhood. He didn’t know his father well and didn’t like his brothers because they take away his father. He’s overprotective with Melody and didn’t realize that because of him, no boys are dating her. His mother’s death was hard on him and some other things too. Melody is a sweet girl, she loves her brother and her parents are alive, just divorced. She’s in love with Asher since she’s a teenager.

I really like Melody, she’s amazing and strong, the thing that happens to her should weaken her for months but she overcomes the events with a lot of courage. She doesn’t always make the good choice but it’s good to see her making mistakes.

Asher is really really kind, hot and sexy, he’s so shy to meet his brother but he’s stronger with Melody at his side.

It’s nice to see that a friendship relation can evolve in more, Asher and Melody are really made to be together. They are a really cute couple, they must overcome the complication of being more than friend but in the end, they are doing it perfectly.

There isn’t one thing that I didn’t like it’s a perfect love story but also that is a friendship story and brotherhood. I really need to read the first two books because meeting Asher’s brother was awesome and I need to know more about them.

Susan Griscom’s writing style is really good, this is a fast-reading with a lot of swoon moments and hot and sexy scenes.

I really recommend this book to all the people who love good romance with sexy male and strong woman.
