Synopsis (from goodreads)
A fallen boxer.
A woman with a broken dream.
He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…
Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.
He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong—but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents…
But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.
I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.
If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?
Remington Tate is a boxer, an underground boxer. He’s strong, famous, wealthy and he has a lot of fan base of women. Yet, he’s vulnerable, has a painful past and don’t know how to express himself.
Brooke is a broken athlete, she was good but her knees let her fall. Now she wants to work in athlete rehab therapy.
When Remi offers her a job, she goes for it, even if she finds him very hot and attractive. They will work together and a little more.
It was a nice book, I think it’s going too fast, since the first pages Brooke is hot for Remy and I think they are attract to each other really soon. After that it’s just some hotness and kisses and touches but nothing more. Remington Tate took his time and Brooke gone crazy about it.
The things I like in the book are the characters, they are complex. I like the story with Brooke’s sister too, it was a good changes in the book.
Remington is a very difficult man to catch, he’s hot and strong but his past is awful and sadly some troubles come from it. I like Brooke and the fact that she’s protective with Remi in her job. The seconds characters are great too and I find them interesting.
It’s a nice romance for summer and I will probably read the book 2 to see where all the characters evolve.
About the author
Katy Evans grew up with books and book-boyfriends until she found a real sexy boyfriend to love. They married and are now hard at work on their own happily ever after. Katy loves her family and friends, and she also loves reading, walking, baking, and being consumed by her characters until she reaches “The End.” Which is, hopefully, only the beginning…
