Don’t be fooled.
Don’t make excuses for me.
I am not a good man.
I’ve seen things no one should, done things no one should talk about. Honor and conscience have no place in my life. But I’ve fought and I’ve survived. I’ve had to.
The first time I saw her dancing on that seedy stage in that second rate club, I felt my heart pulse for the first time. Keelyn Foster was too young, too vibrant for this place, and I knew in an instant that I would make her mine. But first I had to climb my way to the top. I had to have something more to offer her.
I’m here now, money is no object and I have no equal. Except for her. She’s disappeared. But don’t worry, I will find her and claim her. She will be mine.
Like I said, don’t be fooled. I am not the devil in disguise… I’m the one front and center.
Have I already told you how much I love Jay Crownover? This author is an artist, she manages to make me love all her characters at different levels of course, but Nassir and Keelin are perfect. This book is so much more than a love story, it’s a story about trust, and acceptance of what two people wants and can have.
Key fly away to Denver, far from Nassir and far from The Point but The Devil find her and he wants her back. Key decides to take this chance at a new life with Nassir, professional and personal. She will fight because she doesn’t want Nassir to take away her choice. I like her, she’s strong, she knows what she wants and she deserves it. A thing I like about her is that she wants to help girls in The Point and she isn’t afraid to fight for what she wants or who is hers.
Nassir is a complex man, only Chuck knows about his past, which is ugly. He’s a bad guy, really really bad guy but he’s so charming with Key and protective over her that my little heart melt for him. He doesn’t have only a hard part, he can be nice with people, he was nice with Reeve and he is nice with Noe. I love him and most of all I love him with Key, they are perfect for each other, they protect each other and can fight every battle together. They also can manage every professional thing in their life together.
There are two characters in this book that I like; it’s Stark and Noe, I really hope that they will have a book because I have a thing for Geek.
I was happy to see Royal in the first page of Honor, and it was nice to see Reese, Titus, Race and Booker too. I’m impatient to read Booker and Karsen story because with Race it will be epic.
Jay Crownover did it again, she makes me fall in love with Nassir and Keelin, and she let us discover some other characters that deserve a book and a chance in The Point.
Honor is awesome and if you like real bad boy, you must read Honor, because you won’t be disappointed.
