When Jake walked into the tattoo shop Life in Ink, he had no idea his life was about to change. This time for the better. After his girlfriend left him and decided to raise their daughter with another man, Jake walked away to put the pieces of his life back together.
Charleigh knows she has what it takes to be the best artist in her uncle’s tattoo shop. If he’d only give her a chance. When Jake walked into the shop, she’s not sure why he gets under her skin. But he does, and she doesn’t like it.
Jake has to overcome his fear of living in his parents’ shadow and finally stand up to them, with Charleigh by his side. But Jake isn’t sure he’ll be able to push aside his jealousy and raise his daughter. Will his pride get in the way? Or will he finally become the man he wants to be?
Ok so if you’ve read the first book in the series, you already know Jake. Yes it’s him, the father of Tonya’s baby. Ways to go is his story, how he will fight for his baby, his girlfriend and his life.
I love this book, Jake is a great man, he didn’t always do the right things but for his baby girl he wants to be a good father. I can tell you that he will be a good father; I have absolutely no doubt on that point and Tonya either.
Charleigh is a tattoo artist, she is an artist, the only thing she needs is more confidence to confront her uncle and his reasons to no let her tattoo real people. The first person she will tattoo is Jake and let me tell you that she’s awesome and surprising. That’s all I will tell about this. Charleigh is sweet and kind, she’s letting Jake enter her life and he will turn it upside down.
I already said it but I like this book, Charleigh is the best girl for Jake, she’s sweet but kind be a real pain if he needs it. And Jake gave her the confidence, he believes in her and that’s awesome.
It was great to see Jake struggle with the fact that her baby girl is more closed to Reaf than to him. He will also have to fight his parents because they are not very good at parenting.
Katrina’s style is great and she has some imagination to take her character everywhere when you need it, she will make you laugh, cry and wants to hug her character so much. She’s an amazing author and if you haven’t read her story go buy them right know because the more she write the better it is.
Quick word: a very romantic love story and a story where heroes also learn to trust themselves.
