Moonlight Seduction: A de Vincent Novel, from New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout is LIVE!
The de Vincent brothers are back—and so is the intrigue that surrounds them—in New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout’s sizzling new novel . . .
Nicolette Bresson never thought she’d return to the de Vincents’ bayou compound. It’s where her parents work, where Nikki grew up . . . and where she got her heart broken by Gabriel de Vincent himself. Yet here she is, filling in for her sick mother. Avoiding Gabe should be easy, especially when so much of Nikki’s time is spent trying not to be stabbed in the back by the malicious hangers-on who frequent the mansion. But escaping memories of Gabe, much less his smoking-hot presence, is harder than expected—especially since he seems determined to be in Nikki’s space as much as possible.
Gabriel spent years beating himself up over his last encounter with Nikki. He’d wanted her then, but for reasons that were bad for both of them. Things have now changed. Gabe sees more than a girl he’s known forever; he sees a smart, talented, and heartbreakingly beautiful woman . . . one who’s being stalked from the shadows.
Now, Gabe will do anything to keep Nikki safe—and to stop the de Vincent curse from striking again.
Nicolette was almost raised with the De Vincents, her mother and father working for them, Nicolette was often present after school. She has always been attracted to Gabe and even though he has ten more than her, this attraction has obviously not changed.
Nicolette is back because her mother is sick, so she has agreed to replace her until she feels better. She’ll have to face Devlin, Gabriel and Sabrina, Devlin’s fiancée who has a crush on Gabe.
I really liked Nicolette, she is refreshing, she doesn’t let herself get carried away, she regrets what happened the last time she saw Gabe but she can’t get it out of her head. I also love his girlfriend Rosie, she’s just great.
Gabriel is sexy and intelligent, I like the fact that he has a job he likes, that he knows how to work with his hands and above all he is so nice. His past isn’t all rosy, but still I think Gabe’s doing great. He tries to make the right choices, he is sometimes a little clumsy when he wants to express himself but in the end everything works out.
Sabrina is a first-class bitch, I don’t understand how people like her and her brother can be so mean, and yet. They really deserve to rot in hell.
I preferred this second book, I found Gabe and Nicolette more endearing, I don’t know if it is their common past or just that these two characters are perfect. Anyway, I can’t wait to read Devlin’s story because I think it’s going to be pretty funny.
Quick word: A second brother very charming and endearing to discover quickly.
