Synopsis
George Alcott thought he could control his inner demons, but on the night of the full moon, he risks his own soul by conjuring the dark magic of his ancestral line to save Savannah’s life. After a doomed battle against the Hillcrest wolf pack goes awry, Savi is missing, and George must turn enemies into allies if he wants to save her from a fate worse than death.
Savannah Danvers is starving. After waking in captivity and spending days at the hands of monsters, she befriends the very beings who put her in this mess in the first place. Together, they rebel against the supernatural hunters and risk everything for freedom. But among a blaze of gunfire and through a mountain of death, Savi fears they may never emerge victorious.
In the second installment of the Hillcrest Supernaturals series, George and Savi are pushed to the brink of death and forced to ask themselves who, in a city supposedly overrun by supernatural allies, can they really trust?
Review
George is a very powerful wizard, in the first volume he saves the life of Savannah, his vampire best friend. The darkness around him is worrying, he has worries with his mother and he tries as best he can to take advantage of his relationship with Chad.
Savannah (Savi) was kidnapped at the end of the first book, she is a prisoner of the Hunters, she doesn’t know who they are but what she lives in their hands is atrocious. She will try to escape and she will also discover that Georges has changed her but in a rather incredible way.
I love Savi very much, she will do anything to protect her brother and best friend, she will not betray them despite the torture. She also feels strange things, she feels at home in unknown places. Her relationship with her brother and with George are very strong, George and Savi quickly know when one of them is in danger.
Moon Struck reads very quickly, we discover a few things but I still have a lot of questions. I’m a little afraid of what’s going to happen with George, his mother is a madwoman and we finally discover what George’s darkness is. I’m not sure what he’ll do and I’m not reassured. Savi, on the other hand, will have to learn to live differently, Zane will probably help him and I can’t wait to see it.
I’m quite excited to discover the sequel to Moon Struck because its characters are really endearing. The story is moving slowly but surely, let’s just hope everything ends well.
Quick word: Moon Struck answers some questions but some are still pending and others are coming.
Chronique
