Review

In Bloodwitch we find Aeduan on the run with Iseult and Owl, I really liked the different links that are created between these three characters. And if you know me, you already know that I want to see Aeduan and Iseult together, they are both too irresistible. I like the protective and cheeky side of Aeduan and Iseult is so interesting.

Aeduan will become aware of many things in this book, he will try to help Iseult and Owl. He will find an old acquaintance and be confronted with his father. I love Aeduan, he’s my favorite male character in this series, he’s intriguing and that’s something I particularly appreciate.

Iseult has to make decisions, she has to fight to save her life and she has to find out who she can trust. She misses Safiya and even if she appreciates Aeduan, she feels that Aeduan’s protection will not last forever. I love Iseult, I love her drive, her attachment to Aeduan and even the way she’s starting to like Owl.

Safiya will have to protect herself, not everyone around her has such pure intentions as they claim. Safiya is a very interesting character, she knows what she wants and she will go from disappointment to surprise.

Merrick will also have to face obstacles, he has never been the character I love the most but I appreciate his stubbornness, he wants to get out of it at all costs and he will do everything he can to get there.

I discovered a new side of Vivia, I was so angry with her father in this book, what he does to her is despicable and yet it’s so human on the part of a man who wants to keep power. It’s a good thing she has trusted people around her.

We also find Ryber, Cam and many other interesting characters.

I loved this book, as always Susan Dennard made my heart vibrate with Aeduan, Iseult, Safiya, Merrick, Vivia and many others.

I was surprised by the evolution and change of some characters but I wouldn’t tell you which ones.

Anyway one thing is for sure I can’t wait to read the next volume even though I know I’m going to have to wait a long time.

Quick word: A series that improves from book to book, even if it was already perfect in the first book.

Chronique

Dans Bloodwitch nous retrouvons Aeduan en fuite avec Iseult et Owl, j’ai beaucoup aimé les différents liens qui se créent entre ces trois personnages. Et si vous me connaissez, vous savez déjà que je veux voir Aeduan et Iseult ensemble, ils sont trop irrésistibles tous les deux. J’aime le côté protecteur et insolent d’Aeduan et Iseult est tellement intéressante.

Aeduan va prendre conscience de beaucoup de choses dans ce tome, il va essayer d’aider Iseult et Owl. Il retrouvera une ancienne connaissance et sera confronté à son père. J’adore Aeduan, c’est mon personnage masculin préféré dans cette série, il est intriguant et c’est une chose que j’apprécie particulièrement.

Iseult quant à elle doit prendre des décisions, elle doit se battre pour sauver sa vie et elle doit découvrir à qui elle peut faire confiance. Safiya lui manque et même si elle apprécie Aeduan, elle sent que la protection d’Aeduan ne sera pas éternelle. J’adore Iseult, j’aime son entrain, son attachement à Aeduan et même la façon dont elle commence à apprécier Owl.

Safiya va devoir se protéger, les personnes qui l’entourent n’ont pas toutes des intentions aussi pures qu’ils le prétendent. Safiya est un personnage très intéressant, elle sait ce qu’elle veut et elle va aller de déceptions en surprises.

Merrick va lui aussi devoir affronter des obstacles, il n’a jamais été le personnage que j’aime le plus mais j’apprécie son entêtement, il veut à tout prix s’en sortir et il va faire tout ce qu’il peut pour y arriver.

J’ai découvert une nouvelle facette de Vivia, j’ai été tellement en colère contre son père dans ce livre, ce qu’il lui fait est ignoble et pourtant c’est tellement humain de la part d’un homme qui veut garder le pouvoir. Encore heureux qu’elle a des personnes de confiance qui l’entoure.

On retrouve aussi Ryber, Cam et pleins d’autres personnages tous aussi intéressants les uns que les autres.

J’ai adoré ce tome, comme toujours Susan Dennard a su faire vibrer mon cœur avec Aeduan, Iseult, Safiya, Merrick, Vivia et pleins d’autres encore.

J’ai été surprise par l’évolution et le changement de certains personnages mais je ne vous dirais pas lesquels.

En tout cas une chose est sûre j’ai trop hâte de lire le prochain tome même si je sais que je vais devoir attendre un long moment.

En bref : Une série qui s’améliore de livres en livres alors qu’elle était déjà parfaite lors du premier livre.
