Synopsis

Do you know the history of Psyche and Cupid in Greek mythology? If so, you will enjoy reading this adaptation and if not, you will also enjoy reading this adaptation, but you will also want to learn more. It was the case for me, well I must say that I like mythology so it helps.

Psyche is an extraordinarily beautiful young girl, her parents were blessed by the Gods. Psyche is a little tired of men being interested only in her beauty and not in her intelligence. She will have to atone for the sins of her parents and people by marrying a stranger whom she will not see but will feel.

Psyche is a wonderful young girl, she is loving, endearing, quick-witted and loves others, she never does anything to hurt her family or her people. I love this character, she makes me want to be better, to be like her.

Her husband is just as charming and endearing, he does everything to put her in confidence but she hesitates and she’s afraid at first, which can be understood since she does not see him. He will do everything to make her feel loved and safe, he will protect her as much as he can and even if he has made mistakes, he does not hesitate to show her his love.

I loved seeing them get to know each other, fall in love and go through many challenges. It is a history of Greek mythology that I had never paid attention to before and I will make up for it.

Wendy Higgins has done another masterstroke, frankly I think this story is romantic, sensual and brilliantly written.

Quick Word: A perfect adaptation of the myth of Cupid and Psyche.

Connaissez-vous l’histoire de Psyché et Cupidon dans la mythologie Grecque ? Si c’est le cas vous prendrez plaisir à lire cette adaptation et sinon vous prendrez aussi plaisir à lire cette adaptation mais en plus vous voudrez en apprendre encore plus. Ça a été le cas pour moi, bon il faut dire que j’aime la mythologie donc ça aide.

Psyché est une jeune fille extraordinairement belle, ses parents ont été bénis par les Dieux. Psyché en a un peu marre que les hommes ne s’intéressent qu’à sa beauté et non pas à son intelligence. Elle va devoir expier les péchés de ses parents et de son peuple en se mariant à un inconnu qu’elle ne verra pas mais sentira.

Psyché est une jeune fille formidable, elle est aimante, attachante, vive d’esprit et elle aime les autres, elle ne fait jamais rien qui puisse blesser sa famille ou son peuple. J’adore ce personnage, elle me donne envie d’être meilleure, de lui ressembler.

Son mari est tout aussi charmant et attachant, il fait tout pour la mettre en confiance mais elle hésite, ce qui peut se comprendre puisqu’elle ne le voit pas. Il fera tout pour qu’elle se sente aimée et en sécurité, il la protègera autant qu’il peut et même si il a fait des erreurs, il n’hésite pas à lui montrer son amour.

J’ai adoré les voir apprendre à se connaitre, tomber amoureux et traverser de multiples épreuves. C’est une histoire de la mythologie Grecque à laquelle je n’avais jamais prêté attention et je vais rattraper cela.

Wendy Higgins a encore réussi un coup de maître, franchement je trouve que cette histoire est romantique, sensuelle et écrite avec brio.

En bref : Une adaptation parfaite du mythe de Cupid et Psyché.
