Review

Bellamy saw her father killed in front of her by the mob. She testified against The Boss and is now in the FBI’s Witness Protection Program. However, one night an assassin finds her, she manages to escape to the only place that reminds her of her father and her past. When she arrives at the Bear Paw Resort Hotel, she hopes she doesn’t run into Liam, her ex-boyfriend.

As you can imagine, she runs into him directly. I’m not going to tell you that this love story isn’t cliché because it is. However, it is a beautiful story, a story of reunion, discovery, fear and action.

Bellamy is going to have to make choices, learn to live with and most importantly protect the people she loves.

I really liked Bellamy, I really liked what she went through and I’m impressed that she is so brave and that she doesn’t want to give up. Very clearly, she has lost her father, her mother, her life, her identity and men want to kill her. Who wouldn’t be devastated by all that. Bellamy is scared but still she lets Liam win back her heart.

Ah… Liam, what about this lovely young man. He’s a snowboarding champion, or at least he was before his accident. Now his dad would like him to take over the hotel as his suite. When he sees Bellamy again, he forgets about everything else. I’m under the spell of this boy even though his overprotective side can sometimes be too much.

My little darling is Alex, Liam’s best friend. I can’t wait to hear his story.

I liked the story, the tension that you feel in this first volume. It’s obvious that killers will try to kill Bellamy but we don’t know when.

Quick word: A romantic and touching love story.

Bellamy a vu son père se faire tuer sous ses yeux par la mafia. Elle a témoigné contre le Boss et fait désormais partie du programme de témoins sous protection du FBI. Cependant, une nuit un assassin la retrouve, elle réussit à fuir dans le seul endroit qui lui rappelle son père et son passé. Lorsqu’elle arrive à l’hôtel Bear Paw Resort, elle espère bien ne pas tomber sur Liam son ex-petit ami.

Comme vous vous en doutez déjà, elle tombe sur lui directement. Je ne vous dirai pas que cette histoire d’amour n’est pas clichée parce qu’elle l’est. Cependant, c’est une belle histoire, une histoire de retrouvailles, de découvertes, de peur et d’action. Bellamy va devoir faire des choix, apprendre à vivre avec et surtout protéger les gens qu’elle aime.
J’ai bien aimé Bellamy, très sincèrement vu ce qu’elle a vécu je suis impressionnée qu’elle soit aussi courageuse et qu’elle n’est pas envie d’abandonner. Très clairement, elle a perdu son père, sa mère, sa vie, son identité et des hommes veulent la tuer. Qui ne serait pas abattue par tout ça.
Bellamy est effrayée mais malgré tout elle laisse Liam reconquérir son cœur.

Ah… Liam, que dire de ce charmant jeune homme. Il est champion de snowboard ou du moins l’était avant son accident. Désormais son père voudrait qu’il reprenne l’hôtel à sa suite. Lorsqu’il revoit Bellamy, il oublie tout le reste. Je suis sous le charme de ce garçon même si son côté surprotecteur peut parfois être trop.

Mon petit chouchou c’est Alex, le meilleur ami de Liam. J’ai hâte de découvrir son histoire.

J’ai aimé l’histoire, la tension ambiante que l’on ressent dans ce premier tome. Il est évident que des tueurs vont essayer de tuer Bellamy mais on ne sait pas à quel moment.

En bref : Une histoire d’amour romantique et touchante.
