Good truce of joke, this book is the first volume of the new series of Sarah J Maas, it’s not YA but Adult, you will find there, alcohol, drugs, sex…
Bryce is half human – half fae, she lives in Crescent City, a city where all species live side by side. I won’t give you a summary of this book because one the one above is enough and two I wouldn’t want to spoil anything.
I love Bryce, two years ago she was a party girl, she went out, danced, drank, did drugs and banged a lot of guys. That was two years ago, since then she’s been a shadow of her former self. So when Archangel Micah gives her a mission to find the real culprit behind the murder of Danika and her pack, Bryce doesn’t hesitate. She’s going to have to team up with Hunt Athalar, a fallen angel, a killer.
Bryce is now a girl looking for a way forward in life, she doesn’t drink, doesn’t take anything anymore and still works for Jesiba Roga. Her meeting with Hunt will be quite tumultuous but they will get to know and appreciate each other. Bryce has a lot of secrets, but so does Hunt, so it’s all good.
I really like both characters, they are different but they are similar in so many ways. Bryce is strong, independent and has contacts like the prince of the Fae, who is none other than her brother. Of course all this is secret because the King of Autumn doesn’t want her as his daughter.
Honestly I don’t know how Bryce survived all that she went through, it’s really a character that I love very much. Throughout the book, all her actions prove that she has a good heart and is willing to sacrifice herself to save people.
Hunt is a charismatic character, you can’t say he’s very enlightened at times, he believes everything he sees and he doesn’t see that Bryce has change.
I love Ruhn, this guy is great, he’s got a great sense of humor and I love his protective brother side. He also doesn’t realize that Bryce is suffering but he is always there for her no matter what.
And I love Leheba and Syrinx, these two are amazing.
As far as the story goes, it’s full of action, feelings, what I cried in this book. There are a lot of things I didn’t see coming at all and frankly I’m quite impressed. I’m just expecting everything from Sarah J Maas so I’m not getting too excited about the relationship between Bryce and Hunt because she likes to turn things upside down at that level so we’ll see.
The next book is going to be even more surprising, the last chapter intrigued me and I can’t wait to read the rest. Frankly I finished it yesterday and I really don’t know how I’ll be able to read another book after this one as it was so great.
Quick word: the first volume of a series that promises to be extraordinary.

Bon trêve de plaisanterie, ce livre est le premier tome de la nouvelle série de Sarah J Maas, ce n’est pas du YA mais de l’Adult, vous y trouverez donc, de l’alcool, de la drogue, du sexe…
Bryce est mi humaine – Mi fae, elle vit à Crescent City, une ville où toutes les espèces se côtoient. Je ne vous ferais pas un résumé de ce livre car d’une part celui du dessus suffit et de deux je ne voudrais pas spoiler quoique ce soit.
J’adore Bryce, il y a deux ans c’était une party girl, elle sortait, dansait, buvait, se droguait et se tapait beaucoup de mecs. Tout cela s’était il y a deux ans, depuis elle n’est plus que l’ombre d’elle-même. Alors lorsque l’Archange Micah lui donne pour mission de trouver le vrai coupable dernière l’assassinat de Danika et sa meute, Bryce n’hésite pas. Elle va par contre devoir faire équipe avec Hunt Athalar, un ange déchu, un assassin.
Bryce désormais est une fille qui cherche à avancer dans la vie, elle ne boit plus, ne prend plus rien et travaille toujours pour Jesiba Roga. Sa rencontre avec Hunt va être assez tumultueuse mais ils vont apprendre à se connaitre et s’apprécier. Bryce a beaucoup de secrets mais Hunt aussi donc tout va bien.
J’aime beaucoup ses deux personnages, ils sont différents mais se ressemblent quand même sur énormément de points. Bryce est forte, indépendante et elle a des contacts comme le prince des Fae, qui n’est autre que son frère. Bien sûr tout cela est secret parce que le Roi de l’automne ne veut pas d’elle comme fille.
Franchement je ne sais pas comment Bryce à survécut à tout ce qu’elle a vécu, c’est vraiment un personnage que j’adore énormément. Dans tout le livre, toutes ses actions prouvent qu’elle a bon cœur et qu’elle est prête à se sacrifier pour sauver les gens.
Hunt est un personnage charismatique, on ne peut pas dire qu’il soit très éclairé par moment, il croit tout ce qu’il voit et il ne voit pas que Bryce à changer.
J’adore Leheba et Syrinx, ces deux là sont géniaux.
J’adore Ruhn, ce mec est génial, il a beaucoup d’humour et j’aime son côté frère protecteur. Lui non plus ne se rend pas compte que Bryce souffre mais il est quand même toujours présent pour elle quoiqu’il arrive.
En ce qui concerne l’histoire, elle est pleine d’action, de sentiments, qu’est ce que j’ai pleuré dans ce livre. Il y a beaucoup de choses que je n’ai pas vu venir du tout et franchement je suis assez impressionnée. Je m’attends juste à tout avec Sarah J Maas donc je ne m’emballe pas sur la relation entre Bryce et Hunt parce qu’elle aime bien tout chambouler à ce niveau donc nous verrons.
Le prochain tome risque d’être encore plus surprenant, le dernier chapitre m’a intriguée et j’ai vraiment hâte de lire la suite. Franchement je l’ai fini hier et je ne sais vraiment pas comment je vais pouvoir relire un autre livre après celui là tellement il était génial.
En bref : le premier tome d’une série qui promet d’être extraordinaire.
