Review

​I loved this dystopia! The themes explored are really interesting, with climate change being the main focus. Naturally, everything is framed through the perspective of idealistic teenagers.

​Astrid hasn’t had an easy life, much like the others, really. She’s somewhat the glue that holds the group together: passionate, intelligent, and thoughtful.

​Teo is the group’s hunter, and he’s also the one who builds their new environment. I really like him.

​Yekta is quite knowledgeable about plants and gardening, which allows the whole group to eat properly. I love her gentleness and her devotion to the planet.

​Ishaam is the medic, not much more to add, he’s there to heal his friends if anything goes wrong. Safe to say he’s remarkably smart to already be a doctor as a teenager.

​Rosalina is strong-willed. She’s also sick, and missing her medication turns her into a completely different person.

​Jayden is the tech genius, the mastermind who manages their technology and can make them disappear.

​I like all these characters, but my favorites are Rosalina and Jayden.

​Anyway, it’s a great story and I’ll definitely read volume 2 with pleasure.
