Raw

Synopsis :

Growing up the way I did, you’d think I’d be more screwed up than what I actually am.
Soon as I turned sixteen, I left that bump in the road I called home and took my chances on the street.
Best decision I ever made.
Now, at the age of twenty six, I’m educated, employed and damn good at my job.
My friends have become my family. Like me, they know what it’s like to grow up unloved.
But the saying is true.
The world makes way for those who know where they are going.
That’s me.
I know where I’m going and I’ll get there eventually. On my own terms and at my own pace.
But then there’s him.
I feel his eyes on me. I see him hiding in plain sight. He watches me.
He makes me feel.
It’s unconventional.
But it’s real.
I’m sure you’re wondering how a person falls in love with their stalker.
So am I.
This isn’t a story.
This is my life.

The story :

Lexi takes care of young teenagers who have problems and one day she meets Twitch. And all her world changes.

The Character :

Alexa ( Lexi) is a determined young woman who is not afraid, at least it is of what she thinks. She left home at 16 years old, lived in the street a little and arrived to Sydney. She has an apartment, a job, friends and a stalker. I loved a lot Lexi, she has a very strong character and she’s an independent woman. She does not like counting on the others and she has difficulty in letting go.

Twitch is authoritarian, sexy, imperious and he follows Lexi. It is a very interesting character, a bad boy and I loved this character.I wasn’t shocked a single second with this character. I understood his reasons and I think that they are maybe bad at first but he thinks. He is a smart boy otherwise he would not have arrived where he is.

Nikki and Dave are the best friends of Lexi, they are present for her anytime. I found them very charming even if we do not see them a lot.

Happy is the friend and the partner of Twitch, he’s a very kind boy even if as Twitch he’s a miserable boy.I liked his protective side like an older brother but as for Dave and Nikki he’s not very present.

My review :

I really liked a lot this book, now I warn you, it is not an attractive fairy tale whit an Happy Ever After ending.Twitch isn’t a kind boy and even if he makes efforts, it doesn’t compensate for the pain which we can feel by putting itself instead of Lexi at times. These both complement each other so much their characters are brought into conflict, they need one of the other one.I nevertheless liked their relation, we feel that there is a very strong link between them. The only slight drawback which I shall put it’s that I really had no surprise and finally even the end should have stopped before the last paragraph.

I liked a lot the style of Belle Aurora, this book is read easily and fast.

If you want a romantic, simple story without violence, do not read this book.

On the other hand if you want an imperious, sexy, violent bad boy with an end as we see it little in the romances go read this book.
