About BETTER WHEN HE’S BRAVE:
In New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jay Crownover’s third novel in her sexy, thrilling Welcome to the Point series, a woman’s search for repentance leads her to the one man from her past she can’t forget as they join forces to save their city—and the explosive love neither can live without.
Titus King sees the world in black and white. Right and wrong. Which is why as a teenager he left behind the only family he’d ever known to make a better life for himself. Now a police detective in one of the worst cities in the country, he can’t deny his life has turned into a million different shades of gray.
The new criminal element in The Point has brought vengeance and destruction right to Titus’s front door, and the difference between right and wrong is nothing compared to keeping those he loves alive. To add to his already strained moral compass, the beautiful and mysterious Reeve Black has made her way back to town, and she might be as dangerous to Titus as the guy trying to destroy the Point because he needs her—in more ways than one.
Reeve knows all about how ruthless this new threat to destroy The Point can be… and instead of running away, she wants to help. She has a lot to repent for and saving the city, plus the hot cop that she hasn’t been able to forget might just be the only way she can finally find some inner peace.
With an entire city poised on the brink of war, Titus and Reeve stand in the crossfire—and it will take two brave souls to fight for the ultimate love.
This is the story of Reeve and Titus. Reeve was a friend of Dovie but she betrays her and almost got her killed. She had a reason but not a very good one for everybody, sadly. Titus is Bax’s brother, the cop who always wants to do the right thing. He wants The Point to be a good place.
Reeve came back to The Point and left WITSEC for a good reason, someone inside the federal institution try to kill everyone who was connected to Novak’s death. She’s going to Titus for help, first because she trust him and she knows he will do the right thing, seconds because she loves him or she’s attracted by him since a long time. Their relation will evolve slowly to finish amazingly.
I like Reeve because she was born in The Point, she knows how good or bad you can turn in this city. She has made a wrong choice but she will do everything to redeem herself. I like the fact that she’s not afraid of questioning herself. She knows what she wants with Titus, with Roark, with Nassir and Even with Bax.
Titus is a good guy, he’s trustworthy but he has a dark side, fortunately he’s strong and he can let the good side in him win. I really like the relation between Titus and Reeve, they are good together, they made some mistakes but in the end, they are here for each other’s and they will fight for what they want.
I also like the relation between Reeve and Keelyn, they are very strong and they are made of the same woods. I’m very impatient to read the story of Nassir and Keelyn.
In Better When He’s Brave we are seeing Dovie, Bax and Brysen a little but Race, Nassir, Booker and Karsen a lot more. The story between Booker and Karsen, if there is one, will be very strong in emotions.
This book is very intense because the bad guy has the main hand and he doesn’t hesitate to kill people for what he wants, Revenge. It also said that revenge isn’t a good choice, Reeve proves it well. You can’t be the judge, the jury and the executioner, it’s not right.
Jay is very talented, I love her Marked Men Series and I love Welcome to the Point series. Each book is stronger, with more feelings and bad guys. She put so much love in her books, how can you resist ?
If you like her Marked Men series, or really bad guy, you will love Welcome to the Point series as much as me, Bax, Race, Titus, Nassir and Booker are very good for our pleasure.
Jay Crownover is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men and The Point series. Like her characters, she is a big fan of tattoos. She loves music and wishes she could be a rock star, but since she has no aptitude for singing or instrument playing, she’ll settle for writing stories with interesting characters that make the reader feel something. She lives in Colorado with her three dogs.
