Book two in The Renegades series

Publication Date: February 20th, 2017
Rating: 4 hearts
He’s got one shot to make it right…
He’s Landon Rhodes.
The Renegade they call Nova.
Sinfully gorgeous, broody, tatted-up, professional snowboarder.
They say a girl broke him once–
That’s why he’s so reckless, so driven, so careless with his conquests.
But I’m that girl.
They can call me his curse all they want.
He and I both know the truth–
He’s the one who destroyed me,
And I’m too smart to let that happen again.
If you haven’t read Wilder, don’t read this review, I will try not to spoiler you but I promise nothing.
Nova tells us the story of Landon and the mysterious girl he abandoned; he will try to reconquer it at all costs. The cruise continues and the story goes just after Wilder.
Landon is one of the original members of The Renegades, two years ago he had to choose between his girlfriend or the renegades and his choice was complicated. He regrets it every day for two years and when he discovers that he can reconquer his ex, his morale goes up. I love Landon, he’s persistent, funny, narrow and sexy. The choice he had to make, kind of break him, he tried to forget his ex with many other girls and that is something she will have difficulty forgiving. Extreme level, he likes everything that slips, surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding, his dream is to make a snowboarding downhill from the top of Everest.
As for the heroine, she’s also stubborn, she loves extreme sports, she’s intelligent. At first she spends her time trying to escape from Landon, which is very complex because Landon is stubborn, but as he gets to gain a bit of time to at least explain his decision to her. Landon broke her heart, but she knows that she’s still in love with him, what she has trouble doing is trust him.
I had a little more trouble with her because in this book we sees that Landon is crazy in love and at times she irritated me, because she doesn’t want to forgive him or trust him.
The story is good and I immediately understood the end of the story. I loved reading all the stunts the Renegades do and I enjoyed seeing Wilder and Leah again. It was really a very nice reading and this series for now is really great.
In this book Penna is present but it’s a bit complicated, I have a little idea of who is going to be her half in the Rebel book, which comes out in August. I wanted a tome on Nick but Rebecca Yarros told me that the tome on Penna would be the last of the series. I would also have liked to read the story of Zoé because this girl necessarily hides a past not so nice but I already enjoy with pleasure this trilogy.
Quick word: Proof that a second chance is always possible.
About the author
