Review

Hillcrest brings together many supernatural beings, Savi was born a vampire, she comes from one of the most powerful families in the city, she now lives alone with her brother Chad. Vampires must not drink human blood, nor kill humans for that matter, but Savi has a slight problem on this side, she has always covered her tracks well, until now.

Her best friend is Georges, a very powerful wizard, he lost his father and must now obey his mother, who asks him for things he doesn’t like to do. Whether it’s Savi or Georges, they both have secrets from each other.

And now let’s talk about werewolves, they live in the forest and since the pact, the supernatural no longer fight each other. Everyone knows not to go into this forest, but Savi and Georges are slightly stubborn and they take risks. It will cost them dearly and their secrets will soon be revealed.

I like Georges, he’s nice but he has a dark side that he tries to hide as best he can. I liked a little less a certain moment in the book when he blames Savi for something he did himself. I want to see his relationship with Chad evolve despite the barriers between their two races, because they are both adorable.

Savi took a little longer to get loved, at first I found her a little unpleasant, her brother, protects her he is always there for her and I have the impression that she is not grateful or at least a little loving. She is also not very friendly with humans and it must also be said that she has a certain self-esteem. They thought her secrets were well kept, but she will unintentionally reveal them herself.

I loved the story, there is action, a beginning of romance and an important friendship, this first volume sets up the series and frankly I look forward to reading the rest. As Ben and Danielle are nice, the volumes are closer so the wait will be easy.

In any case, the end intrigued me and I look forward to the second volume. Danielle and Ben have managed to put in place a rich history and I hope that it will still meet my expectations.

Quick Word: Crimson Bite is an exciting story, full of friendship and mysteries.

Hillcrest regroupe beaucoup d’être surnaturels, Savi est née vampire, elle vient d’une famille les plus puissantes de la ville, elle vit désormais seule avec son frère Chad. Les vampires ne doivent pas boire de sang humain, ni tuer des humains d’ailleurs mais Savi a un léger souci de ce côté, elle a toujours bien couvert ses traces, enfin jusqu’à maintenant.

Son meilleur ami est Georges, un sorcier très puissant, il a perdu son père et doit désormais obéir à sa mère, celle-ci lui demande des choses qu’il n’aime pas faire. Que ce soit Savi ou Georges ils ont tous les deux des secrets l’un envers l’autre.

Et maintenant parlons des Loups Garous, ils vivent dans la forêt et depuis le pacte, les surnaturels ne se battent plus. Tout le monde sait qu’il ne faut pas aller dans cette forêt mais Savi et Georges sont légèrement têtus et ils prennent des risques. Cela va leur couter cher et leurs secrets seront bientôt dévoilés.

J’aime bien Georges, il est sympa mais il a un côté sombre qu’il essaie de cacher comme il peut. J’ai un peu moins aimé un certain moment du livre où il reproche à Savi quelque chose que lui-même fait. J’ai envie de voir sa relation avec Chad évoluée malgré les barrières entre leurs deux races, car ils sont adorables tous les deux.

Savi a pris un peu plus de temps pour se faire aimer, au début je la trouvais un peu antipathique, son frère, la protège il est toujours là pour elle et j’ai l’impression qu’elle n’est pas reconnaissante ou au moins un peu aimante. Elle n’est pas non plus très sympa avec les humains et il faut aussi avouer qu’elle a une certaine estime de soi. Elles pensaient que ses secrets étaient bien gardés mais elle va elle-même les dévoiler sans le vouloir.

J’ai adoré l’histoire, il y a de l’action, un début de romance et une amitié importante, ce premier tome met en place la série et franchement j’ai hâte de lire la suite. Comme Ben et Danielle sont sympas, les tomes sont rapprochés donc l’attente sera facile.

En tout cas, la fin m’a intriguée et j’attends le deuxième tome avec impatience. Danielle et Ben ont réussi à mettre en place une histoire riche et j’espère que répondra encore à mes attentes.

En bref : Crimson bite est une histoire palpitante, remplie d’amitié et mystères.
