From #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout comes the next installment in her Wicked series.

As Caden and Brighton’s attraction grows despite the odds stacked against a happily ever after, they must work together to stop an Ancient fae from releasing the Queen, who wants nothing more than to see Caden become the evil Prince once feared by fae and mortals alike.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

I don’t know where to start, this book is absolutely awesome. It’s intense and you must be prepared to suffer with Brighton. This is not the last book, so don’t panic when you read The King.

We find Brighton trying at all costs to kill Aric, she wants revenge and even if only Tink and Caden are aware of it and the latter tries as best he can to stop her.

Brighton is an interesting character, she has evolved so much since we met her, she doesn’t realize it and it’s Caden who points it out to her. And I might as well tell you that it’s not over with everything that’s happening to her in The King.

As for Caden, he remains true to himself, his objective is to kill Aric and protect Brighton but he is clumsy in his decisions and actions.

I really liked this book, we discover all the strength of character of Brighton, I look forward to reading The Queen in order to know the end of the story, Caden’s reaction and especially I want a happy ending for them.

Quick word: Another nugget written by Jennifer L Armentrout.
