The way Remy loved him used to terrify him, but now, it’s the way he loves her that scares him to death.
Hyde knows he needs Remy in his life, so he can finally figure out how to be the man she always believed him to be. History has a bad habit of repeating itself, and Remy has a knack for turning even the most simple of situations end over end. Review

It’s always a pleasure to read Jay Crownover and to find characters we love so much.

In this second book of the second generation of Marked Men we meet Remy, the daughter of Rome & Cora and Hyde, the son of Zeb & Sayer.

Remy has always been in love with Hyde but unfortunately he didn’t feel the same way about her. Remy attempted suicide and was saved in extremis by her brother Zowen. As a result, it turned out that she was suffering from a behavioral disorder and needed to be monitored. On his side, Hyde to protect her joined the army.

Of course, they are going to be reunited in the same city and everything is going to get out of control. Hyde will discover that his feelings for Remy were not so different from the ones she felt. Hyde is not coming back to Denver alone, he is now a father and this adorable doll is going to give him a run for his money.

I loved this story, Remy is an intense character and I loved that she wasn’t perfect and stayed strong despite everything. I liked Hyde too, his protective side, he wants to regain the friendship he had with Remy and more.

It was nice to see Rome and Cora again, I can’t wait to read Zowen’s story but I have to admit I’m more excited to read Daire’s story right now. She has some issues to work through and I think I already know who might be able to help her.

Quick word: An absolutely brilliant 2nd volume.

C’est toujours un plaisir de lire Jay Crownover et de retrouver des personnages qu’on aime énormément.

Dans ce deuxième tome de la deuxième génération des Marked Men nous retrouvons Remy, la fille de Rome & Cora ainsi que Hyde, le fils de Zeb & Sayer.

Remy a toujours été amoureuse de Hyde mais malheureusement ce dernier ne ressentait pas la même chose pour elle. Remy a fait une tentative de suicide et a été sauvée in extremis par son frère Zowen. A la suite de cela, il s’est avérée qu’elle souffrait de troubles du comportement et qu’elle devait être suivie. De son côté, Hyde pour la protéger s’est engagé dans l’armée.

Forcément ils vont être à nouveau réunis dans la même ville et tout va s’emballer. Hyde va découvrir que finalement ses sentiments pour Remy n’étaient pas si différents de ceux qu’elles ressentaient. Hyde ne revient pas seul à Denver, il est désormais papa et cette adorable poupée va lui en faire voir de toutes les couleurs malgré elle.

J’ai beaucoup aimé cette histoire, Remy est un personnage intense et j’ai adoré qu’elle ne soit pas parfaite et qu’elle reste forte malgré tout. J’ai aimé Hyde aussi, son côté protecteur, il veut retrouver l’amitié qu’il avait avec Remy et plus encore.

Ca m’a fait plaisir de revoir Rome et Cora, j’ai hâte de lire l’histoire de Zowen mais je dois avouer que je suis pour le moment plus impatiente de lire celle de Daire. Elle a des problèmes à résoudre et je pense que je sais déjà qui pourrait l’aider.

En bref : Un 2^ème tome absolument génial.
